DM CPE is a South African owned and black managed home renovations and maintenance company that was founded in 2015 by Abongile Dwane and Khanya Makiza. This BEE Level 1 company boasts an array of trained artisans for the domestic and commercial sectors such as home-owners, schools, offices, residential or shopping complexes. Abongile started the business by securing small projects in private homes in the Eastern Cape. It expanded dramatically and Khanya came on board to formalise the recruitment of artisans, provide marketing and establish a digital footprint. This enabled the company to increase capacity and it has since expanded into the Gauteng region. The company is instrumental in training and enabling young artisans to apply their trade and learn critical business principles. DM CPE also provides funding and additional support for small scale carpenters, plumbers and electricians thus guaranteeing the completion of projects and ensuring faster turnaround. DM CPE has the capacity and intention to secure medium to large scale developments.

KHANYA MAKIZA
Managing Director
Holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at Gordon’s Institute of Business Sciences (UP) and a B.com (Hons.) in logistics, procurement and supply chain management. He has strong background in supply chain management, having served in various business development, planning and corporate strategy positions in the FMCG, packaging and manufacturing industry.
ABONGILE DWANE
Operations Director
NHBRC certified carpenter with 10 years’ experience in carpentry, plumbing and industrial artisanry. He started the business as a sole proprietorship doing private home renovations. The business has since progressed to include development projects in both Eastern Cape and Gauteng.
